receives funding from renewable energy company to help repair
BladnochPark.
Renewable energy company RES, which recently received
planning consent for the 11 turbine GlenchamberWind Farm between
New Luce, Kirkcowan and Glen Luce, has donated £3,000 to help the
WigtownAgricultural Society's drive to raise money to repair the
showfield.

RES has submitted a planning application to Monmouthshire County Council to build two turbines on land 500 metres to the south west of the M4 motorway and Severn Bridge Toll facility.
The Great House Farm project will see the area's natural wind resources used to produce enough clean, green electricity each year to meet the annual demand of at least 800 homes.
The planning application for the proposed turbine at Longlands Lane was formally acknowledged by the local planning authority on 30 October 2012.
Newport City Council will now commence a consultation process with the local community and interested parties. A decision on the application is expected in spring next year.

RES has expressed its disappointment following today's decision by the Highland Council to reject plans for an extension to Forss Wind Farm. The application was reviewed by the Highland Council's Planning Review Body following a visit to the six turbine wind farm.

Leading renewable energy developer RES has stressed its continuing commitment to Caithness despite a recent blow to the area's economy. Confirmation of the company's support for the area follows doubts over the future of the Forss Business and Technology Park after the company that runs the site was placed in administration. RES is aiming to further develop its Forss Wind Farm and The Highland Council will review its application on the 19th July, following a site visit by Councillors.

RES has announced today it has signed a turbine supply deal with manufacturer Gamesa for Meikle CareweWind Farm in Aberdeenshire. The contract will see Gamesa supplying 12 G52 850kW machines to the RESproject. The turbine supply contract includes a 10 year service contract for the wind farm.

RES has submitted an Application for Review following the refusal by the Highland Council for an extension to Forss Wind Farm. RES owns and operates the six turbines at Forss Wind Farm near Thurso in Caithness and applied for planning permission for an additional five turbines in October 2010. The application for the extension was refused in October 2011 by a planning officer using delegated decision-making powers.
