RE+ Event RES

From November 16 to 19, we will be at RE+ 2026 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Our team from across development, construction, operations, asset management and digital solutions will be hosting the RES Lounge at booth C6782 from November 17 to 19, meeting customers, partners and industry peers. Our Lounge provides a space for focused conversations over coffee about your renewable energy portfolio and operational priorities. Book time with us in advance so we can make sure the right people are there.

Across the industry, the focus is shifting from delivering new capacity to ensuring renewable energy systems are integrated and operated to deliver reliable performance at scale. We support customers across the full lifecycle of renewable assets, combining development, construction, operations and digital capability to improve performance and strengthen resilience.

Speaking at RE+

Danielle Van Huizen, Director, Indigenous Partnerships, will be speaking in Building Renewable Projects with Indigenous Nations: From Engagement to Ownership, a 60 minute interactive session on Monday, November 16, from 2:15 to 3:15 PM PT in N255, North Hall, Level 2. Danielle joins Matt Dannenberg of the Alliance for Tribal Clean Energy, Peter Gregory of Grey Snow Sovereign Solutions and PoQueen Rivera of Pattern Energy.

The session explores what it means to move from treating Indigenous Nations as project hosts to working with them as true development partners, and how early engagement, respect for Indigenous governance and alignment with community priorities shape land use, project design and commercial structures. Danielle brings RES’s experience from more than 20 years in Canada, including the Bekevar wind project in Saskatchewan, co-owned by Cowessess First Nation.

    Operations, asset management and spares

Our Denver Operations Control Center now manages 4GW of renewable energy capacity across 26 sites, up from around 250 MW across 10 sites when it opened in November 2023.

Operating 24/7, the team provides real-time monitoring and control, responds to alarms, resolves issues remotely where possible and coordinates field response when needed. With more than 1,500 MW under management in ERCOT, the center now operates at the scale where NERC CIP Medium Impact standards apply, giving owners of large portfolios confidence in how their projects are looked after.

Our flagship warehouse in Houston, Texas supports our growing US solar and battery storage operations and maintenance business, strengthening supply chain resilience for the sites we look after.

Jean-Claude Robert, SVP Services North America, and Jerry Liu, Director, Asset Management, will be in the RES Lounge at booth C6782. Book a meeting to talk about how we can support your portfolio.

RES' Smart Pilot tech now flies on smaller, lower-cost drones

Our Smart Pilot turbine blade inspection technology is now available for smaller drones, including the DJI Matrice 4E. These smaller drones cost less than their larger counterparts and deliver comparable image quality in good conditions, giving wind farm owners a lower-cost way to inspect their fleets. RES will demonstrate the technology on its stand at Brazil Wind Power, taking place in São Paulo from 27 to 29 October.

Reducing CAPEX in your BESS projects, without taking on integration risk

Battery costs have fallen sharply. According to BloombergNEF’s 2025 Energy Storage Systems Cost Survey, the global average turnkey BESS price dropped 31% year on year. The question worth asking is where the next opportunity for cost reduction sits. The answer, more often than not, is in the integration approach.

The clean energy transition and energy security are the same imperative

For too long, energy security and the clean energy transition have been treated as competing priorities. RES CEO Eduardo Medina argues they’re the same challenge – and the same opportunity.

Why BESS projects stall at commissioning: the integration risk beyond the battery

Battery storage projects rarely run into trouble because of the battery. They stall at commissioning, when the EMS, plant controller, SCADA and grid connection must work together for the first time. In the U.S., they are also stalling when controls suppliers can’t show they meet new federal and state rules. Katy Perry, who leads RES’ North American energy storage business, explains why.
