About

André has been committed to Renewable Energy Leadership for over 20 years. In North America, André was responsible for the acquisitions of Infinity Wind, SoCore (solar) and Green Charge (energy storage), managing a pipeline of more than 10GW of renewables and bringing to fruition more than 4GW between 2017 and 2019.

He also expanded the business into district energy solutions, structuring and winning long term concessions (30 to 50 years) with large universities and hospitals like the Ohio State University, University of Iowa, Howard University, Georgetown and Longwood Medical.

André holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Fundacao Getulio Vargas in São Paulo, Brazil. Originally from Brazil, André has lived in Chile, Peru and the U.S. and has traveled extensively throughout the Americas.

AJ Jain is a senior executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience managing EPC and construction businesses across the global energy sector. As Chief Operating Officer for Construction, AJ is known as a change ambassador with a proven track record of improving business performance, strengthening project execution, and building high-performing teams aligned around shared goals.

A collaborative and strategic leader, AJ focuses on driving operational excellence, improving efficiency, and unlocking new revenue opportunities while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality. His global operating experience spans North America, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, with resident leadership roles in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Thailand, Dubai, and Bahrain.

AJ brings a deep understanding of complex construction environments and a people-first leadership style that supports both business growth and long-term organizational success.

Gordon is a commercially focused business leader with broad financial, operational and project development experience and a proven record of achievement in the energy sector both in North America and Europe. Gordon has been active in industry organizations over the past 10 years, including four years as Vice Chair of Scottish Renewables and two as a non-executive Director of Renewable UK, the UK’s foremost trade association.

Andy serves as Chief Technology Officer for RES, where he helps steer the company’s technology strategy across renewable generation, storage, and digital solutions. Since joining RES in 1997, he has supported the delivery of projects across multiple countries and has focused on translating complex technology into practical, scalable business models, products and tools. He founded RES’ energy storage division in 2009, is credited with several patents, and has led the creation of software tools that optimize the value of energy across wind, solar, and storage. Andy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering and a PhD in Wind Turbine Aerodynamics.

Carlo Scapinelli is Chief Financial Officer for the Americas at RES, where he leads financial strategy across the region, including corporate finance, FP&A, M&A, compliance, and project finance in support of RES’ clean energy growth. With more than 20 years of global finance experience, Carlo has built and led teams across renewables and cleantech organizations.

As an engineer by training, Carlo leads with a hands-on, collaborative approach; Carlo brings a startup mindset to large, complex organizations. He is based in Denver and holds an MBA (cum laude) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Master’s in Finance from Ibmec, and a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of São Paulo.

Bart Geleynse is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Business Development, Strategy & Markets at RES since April 2011. Bart has played a crucial role in leveraging RES’ capabilities in utility-scale solar EPC and energy storage EPC, as well as scaling global operations & maintenance and asset management services.

Bart holds an Executive MBA from Athabasca University and has a diverse educational background from institutions such as Algonquin College and Augustine College. Additionally, Bart has a unique early career as a bareback rider within multiple professional rodeo associations.

Heather joined RES in 2020 and was appointed leader of Americas People & Culture in April 2022, serving as a member of the Americas Executive Leadership Team. Heather brings more than 25 years of human resources experience across multiple industries, including property management, manufacturing, and automation solutions.

Heather’s career reflects a deep commitment to people-centered leadership, organizational development, and building inclusive, high-performing cultures. She returned to school mid-career to earn her MBA from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, strengthening her ability to align people strategies with business outcomes.

Earlier in her academic journey, Heather studied in Kenya during college, an experience that helped shape her global perspective and appreciation for diverse cultures. She brings both strategic insight and practical experience to advancing RES’ talent and culture priorities.

Marcia has served as a trusted legal advisor to RES’ for more than 16 years, supporting multiple business units across the company. As Executive Vice President and General Counsel, she directs all legal activities with a focus on protecting the company and its leaders from risk while delivering commercially practical solutions that support business growth.

Marcia holds a Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law and completed the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program. She brings deep experience in renewable energy and a strong commitment to responsible leadership.
