Contact usCertification demonstrates RES’ prioritization of creating a more diverse, inclusive and welcoming workplace and culture in the solar industry
BROOMFIELD, Colo. – Sept. 21, 2022 – RES, the world’s largest independent renewable energy company, announced it has achieved gold certification through the Diversity Equity Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ) Certification Program from the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). By being the first company to earn this certification, RES demonstrates continued prioritization of creating a more diverse, inclusive and welcoming workplace and culture in the solar industry.
“At RES, we believe that diversity and inclusion is not an option, but a requirement to remain competitive, stay in business and to attract the best talent, particularly to the renewables space,” said John Rohde.
In July, RES achieved Silver status and through persistence and analyzing DEIJ practices on a granular level, RES earned the Gold distinction. To attract more diverse and qualified talent, RES has made the following changes:
- Examining and modifying retention and promotion practices and overall equity in hiring
- Partnering with Direct Employers, which offers networking and educational opportunities around DEIJ
- Routing all job postings to over 300 diverse communities
- Adopting new talent acquisition tools to reach diverse talent further
