 About the Role:
As a Construction Project Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects—from planning and budgeting to execution and completion. This role ensures wind, solar, and BESS projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working within the RES Construction Management team on behalf of project owners, you’ll manage contractors, coordinate with the owner’s engineer, and ensure strict compliance with construction contracts, RES management systems, health and safety regulations, and relevant legislation. Responsibilities also include cost control, project compliance, and oversight of all principal and related works during the construction phase.

Key Safety Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Oversee project execution, including quality control, risk management, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Monitor and control project costs, manage contract administration, and handle change orders and dispute resolution
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients and stakeholders, providing regular progress updates
  • Coordinate resources and teams to ensure all project phases meet technical specifications and performance standards
  • Prepare and present project reports, highlighting status, budget performance, and key issues 
 Skills & Experience:  
  • Leadership skills within the context of construction sites
  • The ability to communicate clearly and build effective relationships with project Owners, EPC contractors, subcontractors and other site staff. 
  • Ability to manage complex interfaces, risks and stakeholder needs.
  • Experience of managing significant construction contracts.
  • Successfully managing projects within resource and budget constraints.
  • Experience of writing and presenting management and progress reports to senior executives, clearly articulating risks and explaining technical issues.   
Qualifications:
  • Engineering, science or commercial degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel regularly across Australia during construction periods.
  • Effective negotiation skills, with experience of negotiating in a commercial or engineering environment.
