People and Culture Analyst Intern

Summary:   
   
The People & Culture Analyst will support two key strategic initiatives this summer: (1) Maintaining and enhancing our People & Culture dashboards and helping to identify targets for key metrics and (2) Analyze pay practices and create pay ranges for critical business roles.  Both of these projects directly support our strategy to ensure RES Americas has the right people and capabilities to deliver our vision.   
   
Requirements:   
  • People & Culture Dashboards
    • Maintains and provides regular people analytics by updating PowerBI dashboards.  Identifies and shares key insights with People & Culture team and business leaders.
    • Creates new dashboards and enhances existing tools to improve business decision making.  Topics may include: talent acquisition, cost of turnover analysis, and measuring success of leadership development programs.
  • Compensation Analytics
    • Performs job analysis, job classification (exempt or non-exempt status), and market analysis in support of compensation benchmarking for critical business positions.
    • Analyzes and synthesizes internal and external data sources and presents recommendations for new or updated pay ranges.
    • Incorporates business leader feedback and builds models to analyze financial impact of changes in pay practices.
    • Partners with People & Culture business partners to understand key aspects of the positions and career pathways and leveling within a team or department.
  • Partners effectively with employees of all levels across the company, including business leaders and HR business partners to streamline HR business processes and enhance the employee and manager experience.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.
  • Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
Qualifications:   
  • Currently pursuing a degree in business, data analytics, finance, people analytics, or other quantitative field required.
  • A high degree of accuracy, discretion, attention to detail, confidentiality, and timeliness is required for the completion of assigned projects.
  • High level of competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) including excellent Excel skills.
  • Experience with and desire to expand skills with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau or similar).
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Analytical & problem-solving mindset.
Anticipated base salary range:  $17- $23  
   
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
