Summary:   
The Assistant Pre-Construction Manager shall develop relationships with key stakeholders and support pre-construction managers to deliver Excellence for our clients on our projects. Supporting pre-construction project management teams through coordination with Developers on RES developed projects and/or other project service functions, including preparing and updating preliminary engineering and construction schedules, conducting pre-construction and progress meetings, ensuring the project aligns with owner requirements and constraints, supporting review of contract exhibits and working with operations, 3rd party engineering, 3rd party construction and owners to support moving projects seamlessly from RFP through contracting and into construction.

This role will be hybrid requiring 3 days in office and 2 days working from home.
 
Requirements:   
  • Assists with review of project documents to understand the project owner’s needs, goals and requirements.
  • Assists with gathering customer feedback and track clarifications during the bidding and design process.
  • Assists with development of project execution strategy for the proposal, and collaborates with stakeholders to identify key subcontractors and personnel needed.
  • Assists with initial engineering and construction schedule input and providing updates to those schedules as required.
  • Supports bid prep, scope of work, and bid review.
  • Supports contract negotiations, with a high focus on technical exhibits and ancillary documentation.
  • Maintains a full understanding of all contractual obligations for the project and documentation of variances.
  • Reviews project constraint matrices and setbacks, drawings, specifications, and other construction documents and communication issues, accuracy of information, and potential risks.
  • Communicates important design, estimating, development, pre-construction, and construction milestones to the project team.
  • Track and organize project information, documents, and correspondence.
  • Assists in developing assumptions, clarifications, exceptions (ACE) documents, as well as risk and opportunity log.
  • Manages daily tracking of work completed and decision making for actions required to meet the expected deliverables.
  • Manages daily and weekly status and progress reports of project status.
  • Works closely with vendors and sub-contractors to obtain bids to support project needs.
  • Maintains client relationships and client expectations.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.

  • Leads and supports the site team in technical, quality and safety, utilizing system in place.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other construction/technical related required.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • 1 or more years of experience in construction and/or engineering field required.
  • 1 or more years of knowledge of renewable project layout and engineering and/or construction of HV, MV, and BESS infrastructure preferred.
  • Travel Requirements: Domestic travel of 16% - 30%; valid driver's license required.
  • Advanced level of knowledge in: 
    • MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams etc.)
    • Record Keeping + Meeting Minutes
  •  Intermediate level of knowledge in:
    • Project Scheduling System (P6)
    • Procore
    • Bluebeam Revu
    • Google Earth
    • Construction drawings
    • General Construction Management
  • Basic level of knowledge in:
    • Sub-contractor and vendor solicitation
    • Client interface and management
Anticipated base salary range: $103,000 - $129,000
 
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
