With our years of experience as a developer and operator of wind farms, we have built up a highly skilled team of engineers and technical specialists providing first-class operations and maintenance services for commercial, industrial and utility clients.
We provide full-scope O&M services as well as standalone services, for instance, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, major component exchanges and repairs, blade repairs and inspection regimes using non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
Working across a range of turbine models including Vestas, Siemens, Nordex and Enercon to name but a few. We cover HSQE, HV, SCADA, condition monitoring, data capture and analysis, system design, plant optimisation, maintenance management, performance testing and more.
Below are some of the services we provide to protect your revenue, maximise availability and optimise your assets.
We were there at the birth of the renewables industry, pioneering research into wind energy technology in the early 1980s. We developed our first wind farm in Cornwall, UK in 1992 and, within a decade, had built the world’s largest wind farm at the time, at King Mountain, Texas. In the years that followed we constructed over 13GW of wind capacity across the globe, in North America and Europe and Australia. We now use this knowledge and experience to ensure that the assets we manage for our clients perform to their full potential. Read some of our case studies below.

Siemens Major Component ExchangeRead more about a recent major component replacement on a site in Cork, Ireland which was carried out by our O&M team. RES’ in-house Condition Monitoring System team detected an issue with the main shaft on one of the 11 Siemens 2.3MW turbines. In order to prevent a catastrophic failure of the component it was essential to continue to monitor the issue, while also carefully planning the replacement and sourcing the specialist equipment required to carry it out. |
Ultrasound & Measurement InspectionRES was asked by a wind site owner to complete a blade bearing ultrasound and measurement inspection for a wind farm located near Edinburgh in Scotland. RES has utilised this method for several wind farm owners and operators to help verify issues being highlighted by their existing O&M contractors, as well as to help plan future works on O&M contracts. |
