“At TRIG, we are committed to fostering a responsible and inclusive working environment across our diverse portfolio. Partnering with RES to introduce sustainable period care solutions on-site has been a key step in enhancing welfare provisions for those working in remote locations. By implementing this initiative, we are not only improving the day-to-day experience for our workforce but also reinforcing our dedication to strong ESG performance, and we are pleased to work with RES to drive meaningful change.”

Chris Sweetman, Chief Operating Officer at TRIG

“We’re proud to work with partners like RES who understand that creating an inclusive culture starts with just doing the right thing. Providing accessible period care on renewable energy sites may seem like a small step, but it sends a powerful message about equity and care in the workplace.”

Margot Smith, ESG Manager at Octopus Energy Generation

Working in remote environments presents unique challenges, especially when it comes to welfare and access to basic facilities. By introducing accessible period products on-site, we’re not only supporting the well-being of our teams but also sending a clear message that inclusion matters – whoever you are and wherever you work. I’m proud RES are taking practical steps to remove barriers to our growing workforce where possible, one step at a time.

Reports completed

Once our team were able to get a handle of the scale and scope of the issues at hand, we set up contingency planning for the short term and long term – providing us with a roadmap to use leading us to handing over a site after all works are complete which is efficient, safe and complete. We needed to address underlying asset quality issues, and thanks to the steps taken the site is now operating reliably at full capacity. This programme of works resulted in avoiding significant lost revenues (~£500k per year).

RES

Thanks to the professionalism shown by our contractors, RES and Nordex, the replacement of an internal transformer at Castlecraig was completed in just 2 weeks. The fact that this was done safely is of upmost importance to NTR. The teams had the added complexity of the ongoing global pandemic to deal with and it was important that protocols were followed. NTR will always prioritise safety before speed however when you have experienced contractors working to a high standard, we see that both can be achieved. I would like to thank all involved for a job well done.
