Contact usRES, the world’s largest independent renewable energy company, has won two prizes in the Wind Investment Awards 2022. The company scooped the prize for Diversity & Inclusion at last night’s award ceremony in London and was also presented with the Asset Management prize for a second year running.
RES’ strategy for inclusion and diversity is centred around RESpect – the company’s long-term commitment to embrace diversity and create a tolerant and inclusive culture that is fair to all. As part of RESpect, it has five Affinity Networks – employee-led groups of people from across all the countries RES operates, each united in their passion for making their workplace more inclusive.
Sanjay Patel, CIO at RES, said: “An inclusive and diverse culture has significant positive benefits for RES, our people and society. We continue to strive to create a workplace where all our people feel respected and listened to, and where every individual can reach their full potential.
“This award represents all of our hard work and is testament to the great work and passion we are showcasing across the company. I’m extremely thankful to our Affinity Networks who have been working hard to build a common understanding of different challenges and barriers that under-represented groups may experience and finding ways to address these.”
RES’ vision is to create a future where everyone has access to affordable zero carbon energy. Part of the strategy to achieve that goal, is to support its partners to increase the output of existing assets and is committed to improving capabilities, finding new techniques and tools to provide unprecedented accuracy in asset monitoring.
Darren Cook, Asset Management Director, said: “We have some of the most committed people, with the best minds in the industry, developing new technologies and innovations to improve on industry standard. Our personalised approach has seen our asset management business increase to a portfolio of 9 GW globally.
“During the last two years we’ve witnessed great resilience across the wind industry in the most difficult of circumstances and by being recognised in two awards is tangible proof of our success. I’m extremely proud of our team for their continued hard work and dedication to delivering technical excellence for our clients.”
