KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 About the Role- Site Manager
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing daily operations at assigned sites and supporting your team to deliver safe, high-quality work.
 
You’ll lead by example to build a strong safety culture focused on achieving Zero Harm. This includes making sure that everyone follows all safety rules and procedures.
 
You'll work closely with clients and other key stakeholders to plan and coordinate activities, ensuring all necessary documents (like work permits and Safe Work Method Statements) are in place and up to date.
 
A big part of your role involves supervising and supporting technicians and contractors, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times.
 
Other responsibilities include:
  • Making sure the site meets all company and regulatory requirements, including regular safety and compliance checks.
  • Preparing clear and timely reports for clients (including routine updates, inspection and test plans, and progress reports).
  • Managing subcontractors and handling procurement needs.
  • Overseeing the technical and operational delivery of projects from start to finish.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with a focus on safety, performance, and teamwork.

  • Required experience: experience in the role of Site Manager on operational site is highly desirable, minimum 2 years in Operations and Maintenance experience of utility scale Solar or renewable projects (or transferrable experience)
  • Required qualifications: Electrical Qualification (Diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics preferred) or other technical training to be evaluated, Electrical Licence for the relevant state (preferred), LVR/CPR certificate, First Aid certificate
Electrical Technician
  • Perform routine and advanced maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical systems; diagnose and resolve complex issues, repairing or replacing faulty components as needed.
  • Develop and implement maintenance SOPs, provide training, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior technicians, collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations, and assist with the installation of new systems and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance. 
  • Required experience: extensive experience in electrical maintenance, repair, and installation.
  • Required qualifications: Valid QLD electrical supervisors or contractor’s license, Valid Driver's licence, LVR/CPR current certificate, First Aid current certificate
Mechanical Technician
  • Perform routine and advanced maintenance and inspections on mechanical systems and 
    equipment, including mobile plant and vegetation equipment.
  • Maintain, calibrate, align, and troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Repair and replace faulty components to ensure system reliability and optimal performance.
  • Perform regular inspections and checks to monitor performance of mechanical assets.
  • Perform vegetation control activities including maintenance, mowing and pruning, spraying, etc, including the use of power equipment
  • Perform panel cleaning activities as required
  • Assist in development and implementation of operating procedures for maintenance and training.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulation
  • Required Experience: Experience in mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation, Experience with driving tractors and plant equipment and experience in mechanical systems used in solar farms (trackers, module cleaning, vegetation equipment)
  • Required Qualification: Mechanical trade certificate (or similar), Valid Driver's licence, LVR/CPR current certificate (desirable), First Aid current certificate (desirable), Working at Heights desirable (desirable), High Risk Work Licences (boom lift, forklift, dogging, rigging, telehandler etc desirable)
