Summary: 

 

The Associate Project Manager will manage engineering and related issues across a broad range of cross portfolio projects. The role may be involved in Wind, Solar & Battery Storage projects, assisting Asset Managers and Site Managers in the Management of the RES Asset Management, ensuring adherence to best practice for safety, quality, and environmental performance throughout the project lifecycle.

 

The role will form part of the Operations Support and Advisory Team who support the Global Asset Management Teams with the integration and adoption of projects into the portfolio, as well as the implementation of new services that are developed by the team.

 

The Associate Project Manager will report to the Senior Operations Support Manager, joining a team of Associate Project Managers with broad experience across Wind, Solar and Battery Storage. They will have an influential role as part of the Operations Support and Advisory Team in leading, developing and ensuring the performance of the Additional Services that are provided to our customers. Additional services are those outside the scope of our Asset Management agreements.

 

The Associate Project Manager shall work across all disciplines, understanding the procurement, contract, technical and site requirements related to each project.

The role will promote and enhance the Operations Support and Advisory Team and shall be highly visible role within Asset Management, with occasional travel required to regional offices or sites within the portfolio. The role can be based in any of our regions where we have an Asset Management presence, there will be opportunities to support projects in other regions or countries

 

Requirements:   

  • Help ensure high HSQE standards across our portfolio
  • Act as Onboarding Lead by:
    • Managing the onboarding of new renewable energy assets into the asset management portfolio before they are handed to an Asset Manager
    • Ensuring all elements of the Onboarding Process are completed by collaborating with other teams including OT, AOS, Finance, Control centre.
  • Act as Project Manager on Additional Services projects by:
    • Identifying opportunities within the Asset Management portfolio
    • Developing and executing Additional Services activity from owner approval to completion on Wind, Solar & Storage Assets
    • Ensuring compliance and deliverables are met, including direct supervision of various works and oversight of contractors as required
    • Leading on specific contract improvement plans to support the Commercial AM Team
  • Act as Project Manager for the Asset Management team by:
    • Developing risk, compliance, and performance processes which support growth and cost reduction targets
    • Supporting other teams within RES Services including Advisory, ESG, Commercial, and OT/Cyber
  • Act as Project Manager on Cyber Assessment of operational assets by:
    • Working with 3rd party suppliers to deliver Cyber Security Assessments
    • Working with RES Operational Technology Team to upgrade OT hardware on operational assets and maintain the hardware
  • Support the Operations Support and Advisory Team by:
    • Leading on areas of personal expertise as part of the Operations Support and Advisory Team objectives.
    • Actively participating in Continuous Improvement, Innovation and Standardization activities to develop RES services
  • Knowledge
    • Knowledge of any or all renewable technology projects (Wind, Solar & Storage) in either design, construction, or operations
    • Knowledge of Cyber Security on renewable assets (preferable)
    • Health and safety management systems
    • CDM Regulations
    • Quality and environmental management systems
    • Project financial management
    • Fluency in English with knowledge of other languages advantageous (French and / or Spanish)

  • Experience
    • Projects and / or Asset Management in a Renewable engineering environment.
    • At least 1 years’ experience of Grid Scale Wind, Solar and/ or Storage projects
    • On site work management – OT, SCADA, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical preferred
    • Contract Management
    • Interpretation of engineering drawings, work instructions and design reviews.
    • Managing budgets and project costs
    • Contract specification review and preparation

 

 

Safety:

  • Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.  Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree/HND Engineering or science qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management qualification or equivalent experience.

 

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
