Why RES

Local expertise, global experience and a commitment to Indigenous partnerships.

Local expertise

Over its 20-plus years in Canada, RES has developed and/or constructed over 30 projects, generating 2.9GW in five provinces. RES has been involved in nearly 18% of all the operational wind energy in Canada.

Strong partnerships

RES fosters strong relationships with Crown corporations, host communities and First Nations to ensure firm social acceptance of its projects. With its unique full-lifecycle expertise, RES is frequently sought after for collaborative efforts by private developers, investors and large industrial firms. RES is also equally equipped to work in the country's English and French-speaking regions.

Sustainable outcomes

RES is committed to sustainability in its Canadian operations, exemplified by its proactive efforts to protect local wildlife and habitats during the Forty Mile Wind project construction in Alberta. Measures included establishing setbacks for nesting raptors and amphibians, implementing erosion controls around wetlands, and using track packing to preserve topsoil. A comprehensive waste management program also diverted materials like cardboard, metal, and plastics from landfills, reinforcing RES’s dedication to responsible resource use.
