The clean energy industry is entering a new chapter shaped by scale, speed and increasing complexity. Federal investment, private capital momentum, and a maturing technology landscape have set the stage for remarkable progress. But as we know from experience, progress doesn’t guarantee predictability.
Heading into CLEANPOWER 2025, the conversation is shifting from how much we can build to how well we can deliver. In a market where grid constraints, labor dynamics, supply chain challenges and regulatory framework uncertainty loom, excellence in execution is becoming the clearest path to resilience.
The hidden risk: Fragmentation across the lifecycle
For years, renewable energy projects followed a fairly linear model. But today’s reality is far more complex. Owners are now taking on equipment procurement, traditional EPC partners are backing away from turnkey models, long-term service agreements are becoming less obvious, and scopes are being fragmented—often without a clear strategy for how they’ll come back together.
This fragmentation creates exposure. Critical context is lost when project phases are handed off like batons in a relay race. Small misalignments can lead to costly delays, underperformance and missed expectations. These gaps between development, construction and operations increase risk. In a high-stakes environment, that’s a risk the industry can no longer afford.
A full-lifecycle partner, not just a provider
RES believes the key to success is linking development, construction, operations, asset management, and digital solutions to achieve better results and eliminate surprises.
Our complete service offerings support contemporary project structures and address the scope gaps that can leave owners vulnerable. Whether collaborating with an EPC contractor or acting as the main coordinator, RES focuses on ensuring that critical transitions do not become failure points.
The result? A streamlined, high-efficiency project without the limitations of a traditional turnkey method.
With more than 23GW of renewable energy projects constructed and/or developed in the U.S., RES brings proven capability at every stage of the clean energy journey.
- Development: RES’ expert development team manages the full development lifecycle—from land leasing and permitting to interconnection studies, wind and solar resource analysis, and community engagement. Our 50+ projects developed across 14 states, totaling more than 4GW, reflect our commitment to building right from the start.
- Construction: RES acts as a prime or general contractor, providing full turnkey EPC services. Backed by our expert in-house engineering teams based in the U.S. and Canada, we lead projects from design through commissioning, including procurement of all major materials. Our self-perform construction capabilities, industry-leading safety and apprenticeship programs, and on-time delivery ensure high-quality execution.
- Operations & Maintenance (O&M): RES operates both onsite facility management and offsite, 24/7 monitoring from our NERC-compliant operations control center in Denver, Colorado. With 1.7GW under contract, our in-house team ensures reliable performance across 11 states and in Canada as well.
- Asset management: RES delivers full facility oversight and optimization, from production monitoring to financial performance, depreciation tracking, and compliance with interconnection and permit requirements. We don’t just operate assets; we help them thrive over the long term.
- Digital products and solutions: Whether it is enhancing safety, improving performance, minimizing downtime, increasing operational efficiency or creating data visibility to drive better decision making, our leading-edge digital solutions help optimize renewable energy assets and unlock their full potential.
In short, we understand what it takes to deliver, from securing land and conducting the initial interconnection study to delivering the final performance report. We don’t believe that being full-service means handling everything ourselves. It means selecting the right partners, processes and technologies to ensure that the left hand always knows what the right hand is doing.
The future belongs to those who execute
Clean energy is entering a new era defined not just by growth, but by successful execution. We can’t simply build more projects to meet national and global targets. We have to build better ones. And that means moving from a transactional model to a lifecycle mindset.
Even with the policy support of recent years, clean energy isn’t on autopilot. The challenges of interconnection, grid expansion, supply chain tightness and permitting delays aren’t going away. And with broader uncertainty in the political landscape, the industry must lean into what it can control.
We’re confident in the future of clean power not because we hope for stable conditions, but because we’ve built a model that thrives even when things get complex.
Let’s talk at CLEANPOWER 2025 about what it means to bridge the clean power gap, together.
