In the recent election, Sarah was one of four new directors appointed to the board by their member companies.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah, a Senior Development Project Manager for RES, has been in the renewables industry for the last 11 years. She brings to the board her experience of developing large scale projects in the UK and Ireland, supporting the acquisition and identification of new sites, as well as monitoring and responding to policy and industry developments.<\/p>\n<p>Solar Energy UK is an established trade association that works for and represents solar and energy storage value chains. It is a member led community of over 256 businesses and associates.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on her appointment, Sarah said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m delighted to join the board at Solar Energy UK, to work together to tackle pressing development issues to ensure we can deliver net zero. RES is a leading independent renewable energy company and I\u2019m looking forward to bringing my experience in solar development to the board.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a real positive to see so many women on the board. I feel like there\u2019s strong female representation in the solar industry, and it\u2019s great to see this representation continue to grow in senior and board levels.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Solar Energy UK\u2019s Chief Executive Chris Hewett said:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A key role of any trade association is to lead from the front, so I am delighted we are building a high calibre and diverse Board from the full wealth of talent amongst our membership.
