Defective modules, which can either be recorded via drone inspections (Ultra-High Definition or Thermographic) or using EyeSite whilst on site, are identified in the digital twin along with all the uploaded testing and inspection data. This provides the owners and operators all the required information to activate a module warranty claim and\/or make decisions on whether to revamp the site to ensure maximum production.<\/p>\n<p>This new service can reduce the time taken to gather the information required for warranty claims from years to months, creating time and financial efficiencies for asset owners alongside improving the performance of projects.<\/p>\n<p>Clients also obtain a complete digital asset register of their site, which will help them greatly for the management of future O&amp;M activities (module condition monitoring) and module warranty claims.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brian Darnell, Head of Solar and Storage O&amp;M, said:<\/strong> <em>\u201c<\/em><em>With much of the UK&amp;I\u2019s large-scale solar fleet fast approaching the end of the module manufacturer\u2019s product warranty period, this new service ensures that asset owners have full visibility of their sites operations and revamp where necessary in timely and cost-effective way to maximise the performance of their solar assets.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Will Hitchcock, CEO of Above\u00a0 said:<\/strong> <em>\u201cThis partnership combines RES\u2019 years of operations &amp; maintenance experience with Above\u2019s industry-leading software technology, enabling owners and operators to robustly manage module warranty claims and revamping projects on large-scale sites.
