Construction has already started and it will become operational in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Octopus entered Germany\u2019s renewable generation market in June 2023. It now manages over 100 MW of onshore wind farm projects across the country, which will generate enough clean power for 100,000 homes.<\/p>\n<p>The company already has several more deals in the pipeline to boost its generation footprint in Germany over the next few months.<\/p>\n<p>Octopus acquired the wind farm from the project developer RES, the world&#8217;s largest independent renewable energy company. This is the first deal for Octopus and RES in Germany, who already have a strong partnership in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>RES is building the wind farm and will help manage operations under a 20-year contract, closely working with landowners, local communities and the municipality. The company has been active in the German renewables market for 10 years, developing, constructing and operating wind and solar projects to drive the energy transition, with a pipeline of over 1 GW of renewable energy projects.<\/p>\n<p>As Europe\u2019s biggest wind market, Germany built 2.4 GW new onshore wind last year &#8211; more than any other European country. Onshore wind makes up 17% of Germany\u2019s electricity mix, with Government targets to rapidly ramp up capacity by 10 GW a year from 2025*.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zoisa North-Bond, CEO of Octopus Energy Generation, said<\/strong>: \u201cWe\u2019re hugely excited about Germany\u2019s renewables market, and we\u2019ve quickly gone from 0 to 4 wind projects in less than a year. Juni 2023<\/strong> \u2013 Octopus Energy Generation, das weltweit Anlagen im Wert von 6 Milliarden Euro f\u00fcr erneuerbare Energien und Energiewendeprojekte verwaltet, t\u00e4tigt in weniger als einem Jahr seine vierte Investition in einen Windpark in Deutschland.<\/p>\n<p>Der neue 11,4-MW-Windpark befindet sich auf dem stillgelegten Gel\u00e4nde eines ehemaligen US-Luftwaffenst\u00fctzpunkts bei Pr\u00fcm in Rheinland-Pfalz, nahe der luxemburgischen und belgischen Grenze.<\/p>\n<p>Er besteht aus zwei gro\u00dfen Nordex-Turbinen, die genug Energie f\u00fcr 13.500 Haushalte produzieren. Das entspricht etwa 20.000 Tonnen eingesparter CO<sub>2<\/sub>-Emissionen, 100.000 gepflanzter B\u00e4ume oder 110.000 Benzinautos. Der Bau hat bereits begonnen, 2024 soll die Anlage in Betrieb gehen.<\/p>\n<p>Octopus ist seit Juni letzten Jahres auf dem deutschen Markt f\u00fcr erneuerbare Energien aktiv. Inzwischen verwaltet das Unternehmen \u00fcber 100 MW aus Onshore-Windparkprojekten im ganzen Land, genug sauberer Strom f\u00fcr 100.000 Haushalte.<\/p>\n<p>Zudem sind bereits weitere Projekte in Planung, mit denen Octopus in den n\u00e4chsten Monaten seinen Anteil an der Stromerzeugung in Deutschland erh\u00f6hen will.<\/p>\n<p>Das Projekt bei Pr\u00fcm \u00fcbernimmt Octopus von RES, dem weltweit gr\u00f6\u00dften familiengef\u00fchrten Unternehmen f\u00fcr erneuerbare Energien. Es ist die erste Zusammenarbeit von Octopus und RES in Deutschland und baut auf einer starken Partnerschaft in Gro\u00dfbritannien auf.<\/p>\n<p>RES errichtet den Windpark und hilft im Rahmen eines 20-Jahres-Vertrags beim Betrieb des Projekts.
