Energy<\/span> storage <\/span>technolog<\/span>y<\/span> <\/span>plays<\/span> an important balancing and grid stability role<\/span>,<\/span> and i<\/span>f <\/span>consented<\/span>, <\/span>Drum Farm <\/span>w<\/span>ill<\/span> <\/span>help <\/span>create a more stable and secure electricity system<\/span> supporting the increased deployment of renewable energy<\/span> needed<\/span> to ensure security of supply and meet net zero targets<\/span>. <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The site could also offer<\/span> significant biodiversity enhancement opportunities through<\/span> <\/span><\/span>the planting of native trees, hedgerows and wildflower grass areas. <\/span><\/span>An attenuation basin, as well as <\/span><\/span>allowing safe and contained storage for excess rain <\/span><\/span>and storm water<\/span>,<\/span> <\/span>is also proposed which <\/span>could deliver significant opportunities for further <\/span>wetland <\/span>biodiversity net gain.<\/span><\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
