RES is required to collect employee vaccination status information by the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS).  This mandate applies to all employees working in the United States.

Why is RES requiring this information?

RES is required to collect your vaccination status information by the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS).

What does it mean to be fully vaccinated?

  • A person is fully vaccinated 2 weeks after receiving any combination of two doses of a two-dose series COVID-19 vaccine that is approved or authorized by the FDA, or listed by the World Health Organization, OR
  • A person is fully vaccinated 2 weeks after completing primary vaccination with a single-dose series COVID-19 vaccine that is:
    1. approved or authorized for emergency use by the FDA; or
    2. listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization; or
    3. administered as part of a clinical trial at a U.S. site as long as not placebo and efficacy has been independently confirmed or if the clinical trial participant at U.S. sites had received a COVID-19 vaccine that is neither approved nor authorized for use by FDA but is listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization.

What is acceptable proof of vaccination status?

Acceptable proof is one of the following:

  • The record of immunization from a health care provider or pharmacy; or
  • A copy of the COVID-19 Vaccination Record card; or
  • A copy of medical records documenting the vaccination; or
  • A copy of immunization records from a public health, state, or tribal immunization information system; or
  • A copy of any other official documentation that contains the type of vaccine administered, dates(s) of administration, and the name of the health care professional(s) or clinic site(s) administering the vaccine(s).

What happens if I am not fully vaccinated?

RES must ensure each employee who is not fully vaccinated and meets the standards outlined in the RES Employee Choice Vaccination policy be tested for COVID-19 at least once every 7 days.  The results must be reported via the Vaccination Status link above. If a required employee does not provide documentation of a COVID-19 vaccination or test result as required, RES must keep that employee removed from the workplace until such documentation is provided.

Tests that satisfy the weekly testing requirement

  • Cleared, approved or authorized by the FDA
  • Administered in accordance with the authorized instructions; and

Not both self-administered and self-read unless observed by an authorized telehealth proctor with documentation provided

What kind of COVID-19 test is acceptable?

An acceptable COVID-19 test is one that is cleared, approved, or authorized including in an Emergency Use Authorization, by the FDA, and is administered in accordance with the authorized instructions; and a test that is not both self-administered and self-read unless observed by an authorized telehealth proctor.
Examples of acceptable tests include those that test with specimens that are processed by a laboratory (including home or on-site collected specimens); or tests proctored over-the-counter, or point of care tests, or tests where specimen collection and processing is either done or observed by RES.

What happens to the information I submit?

RES takes your confidentiality seriously. We must maintain a record of each vaccination status and test result provided for required employees. These records are considered employee medical records and will be maintained as such and will not be disclosed except as required by this mandate or other federal law.

Will RES pay for the cost of the COVID-19 tests?

No. COVID-19 testing costs are not covered nor reimbursable by RES.

What happens if I test positive for COVID-19?

In the event of a positive COVID-19 test, you should promptly upload your result via the form linked above and notify your manager of your absence and follow our normal paid time off and leave of absence policies. You will be allowed to return to your work site once a negative test result is received, or you meet the criteria to return to work from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), or you receive a recommendation to return to work from a licensed healthcare provider.
