Garreg Lwyd Wind Farm The proposed Garreg Lwyd Hill wind farm will be situated between Felindre and Llanbadarn Fynydd in Radnorshire, Powys. The current layout consists of 23 turbines and has been the result of an iterative design process considering the findings of the environmental surveys on and around the site. Each wind turbine will have a nominal output of 2MW with a maximum height of 126.5m to the tip of the blade. The annual electricity production of the proposed wind farm should be sufficient to meet the equivalent electricity demand of over 25,700 homes. This is equivalent to over 47% of the electricity demand of all the homes in Powys. Our EIA investigations at the Garreg Lwyd Wind Farm site are soon to be complete. A report has been produced based on the EIA which is called the Environmental Statement (ES). The ES has been submitted with RES's planning application to Powys County Council and is available for public inspection and comment. The non-technical summary of the Environmental Statement is available to download from the Garreg Lwyd website (see below). The latest information on the Garreg Lwyd Wind Farm proposal is available from the project website at: .Information about the Project
