Roussas - Claves Wind Farm
Claves wind farm is part
of the Roussas project, which is situated in the Rhône valley in
the commune of Roussas and in the Drôme département of France.
The project was developed by EOLE-RES and is divided into two wind farms,
Claves and the adjacent Gravières wind farm, each comprising 6
turbines rated at 1.75MW. The Gravières wind farm has been sold to a third-party investor’
Energy is exported via Claves wind farm's dedicated underground cable
connection (which is approximately 11.6km in length) to Electricité de
France's Châteauneuf poste source substation.
Construction commenced in spring 2005 and and it became operational in Jan 2006.
The estimated energy to be produced by Claves wind farm is equivalent to
an annual saving of approximately 12,000 tonnes of CO2.
