Black Hill Wind Farm

Black Hill Wind Farm was granted planning Permission by The Scottish Borders Council on 2nd July 2001.

The wind farm consists of 22 turbines of 1.3 MW rating, with an overall tip height of 78m. Construction work on the project commenced in November 2005 and became operational in February 2007.

Where possible, local contractors are being used for the civil and ancillary works.

Black Hill will be RES's second wind farm in Scottish Borders, following commissioning of the Dun Law wind farm in 2000.
