RES has submitted a planning application for Glenchamber Wind
Farm located between New Luce, Kirkcowan and Glenluce, in Dumfries
and Galloway.
The proposal is for 11 turbines, each with a maximum height of
126.5m to the tip of the blade. The planning application along with
an Environmental Statement (ES) and Pre-Application Consultation
(PAC) Report has been submitted to Dumfries and Galloway
Council. The wind farm has an indicative installed capacity
of 25.3MW and, if approved, the wind farm is likely to generate
electricity equivalent to the average demand of more than 14,000
households - or approximately 20% of the households in Dumfries and
Galloway.
The planning application was submitted along with an Environment Statement and Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) Report.
