RES has been at the forefront of wind farm development on the island of Ireland for the last 15 years.

To date we have developed seven wind farms in Northern Ireland and four in Ireland. A further five of our projects have been granted planning permission and are awaiting construction. Altogether these projects will provide 206MW of installed capacity – that’s enough to meet the annual electricity needs of around 115,000 homes. A further seven projects are currently under development.

Our eleven staff members operate from offices in Larne, Co. Antrim.

RES’s wind farm development work in Northern Ireland and Ireland has been operating under the name RES UK & Ireland Ltd. since February 2007. Prior to that, we had been operating under the name Wind Farm Developments Ltd. which was originally a joint partnership between RES Ltd and B9 Energy Services. In May 2006 RES Ltd acquired B9 Energy Services.
