RES is pleased to announce today the completion of Kelburn Wind Farm in North Ayrshire, Scotland. At 28MW the wind farm will deliver clean, green renewable electricity which is equivalent to the average needs of approximately 15,000 homes - 24% of the households in North Ayrshire.
Proposals to build a £250 million renewable
energy power station at Battleship Wharf in the Port of Blythhave
moved another step closer to reality. The Planning Inspectorate has
now confirmed formal acceptanceof the application for a Development
Consent Order, which renewable energy developer RES submitted
forconsideration in March this year.

Paris, 6th April 2012 - The French
Government today announced its decision to award the
Iberdrola-Eole-RES consortium exclusive rights to develop a 500 MW
offshore wind project in the area of Saint-Brieuc, off the coast of
Brittany. The project is expected to generate some 2,000 jobs and
play a key role in developing an offshore wind industry in
France.

RES has submitted an Application for Review
following the refusal by the Highland Council for an extension to
Forss Wind Farm. RES owns and operates the six turbines at Forss
Wind Farm near Thurso in Caithness and applied for planning
permission for an additional five turbines in October 2010. The
application for the extension was refused in October 2011 by a
planning officer using delegated decision-making powers.

Ambitious scenarios show renewables could
meet between 60-90% of UK electricity demand by 2030
A new report by
WWF has said that renewable sources of energy could meet between
60-90% of the UK's electricity demand by 2030, and recommends that
the government sets its target at no less than 60% for renewable
energy generation to provide certainty for investors.

Green Heat Module product at EBEC, 5-6 Oct 2011. Specifically
designed to be easily retrofitted onto large commercial and public
sector buildings, the Green Heat Module makes deployment of a
biomass heating solution significantly simpler and much quicker
than traditional complex installations.
RES says that the
feedback it has received from people in the Blyth Estuary is
playing a vital role in shaping the final plans. Over the past
18 months, RES has been consulting widely with local residents,
organisations and businesses. The company has participated in more
than 40 face-to-face meetings and presentations and two sets of
public exhibitions, held in Blyth, Cambois, and North Blyth.
