Horizon Wind Energy And RES Announce Texas Project
Houston and Austin, Texas, December 15, 2005 – Horizon Wind Energy LLC (Horizon) and RES America Developments, Inc. (RES) have agreed to build the first 200 MW phase of the Cross Timbers Wind Farm in Shackelford County, Texas. Cross Timbers Wind Farm has been developed by RES over the last several years. Under the provisions of the sale, RES will complete engineering of the project and will construct the wind farm in 2006, while Horizon will own and operate the project. The transaction is expected to close by the middle of January 2006.

Construction Begins at Black Hill Wind Farm
Construction work has commenced at the 22-turbine Black Hill wind farm project near Duns in the Scottish Borders, the project owner Renewable Energy Systems Group (RES) announced today. The 28.6MW project is expected to be completed in Spring 2007.

Wind Farm Developments Ltd, the joint venture between Renewable Energy Systems Ltd (RES) and B9 Energy Services Ltd (B9), today announced the sale of Callagheen wind farm to ScottishPower. Construction work on the 17MW project, located in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, began in May 2005. B9’s sister company, B9 O&M Ltd, has been contracted by ScottishPower to provide operation and maintenance management service for the wind farm, which is expected to be fully operational by March 2006.

M25 Wind Turbine Dresses Up for Red Nose Day and Generates Cash for Comic Relief
On Thursday 10 March 2005, the famous wind turbine next to the M25 in Hertfordshire will be given a red nose for Red Nose Day 2005. Construction begins at Callagheen and Taurbeg
Wind Farm Developments Ltd [a joint venture between B9 Energy Services Ltd and Renewable Energy Systems Ltd (RES)], have started construction of two new wind farms, Callagheen Wind Farm, 6km south of Belleek in Co. Fermanagh and Taurbeg Wind Farm near Rockchapel in Co. Cork. Callagheen will increase the amount of wind power supplied to the Northern Ireland electricity grid by 16% from 103MW to 120MW, and Taurbeg will increase the amount of wind power supplied to the Irish grid by 7.5% from 339MW to 364MW.

RES Announces Completion of €225 Million Deal to Finance Expansion of Generating Portfolio
Leading international wind energy company Renewable Energy Systems (RES) Group announced today that it has closed a deal to finance further significant growth of its European wind powered generation business. Through the financing process, “Project Astraeus”, facilities totaling €225 million have been arranged for the refinancing of existing investments and the construction and term financing of five new wind farms. Upon completion of the new projects, RES will own a geographically diversified portfolio of 200MW of wind energy capacity in the UK, Ireland and France.

ASA Rules in Favour of RES on Den Brook Wind Farm Benefits
Renewable Energy Systems Ltd (RES), the company proposing to build a wind farm at Den Brook in North Tawton, has today welcomed an adjudication by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA)2 that public information circulated to local residents about the scheme was accurate. A report issued today by the ASA rejected five complaints lodged by an opponent to the wind farm that RES had exaggerated the project’s environmental benefits.

Renewable Energy Systems, the leading international wind farm developer, has won the top award at the prestigious national Business Commitment to the Environment Awards 2004. The ‘Peter Parker Award’ was given to RES for its environmental commitment exemplified by its groundbreaking zero -emissions headquarters, Beaufort Court. Turbines Start Generating At Glens Of Foudland Wind Farm
Construction has been completed and the first electricity generated at Glens of Foudland Wind Farm in Scotland, Renewable Energy Systems (RES)1 has announced. RES, which developed the project, has undertaken construction through a turnkey contract with Centrica Renewable Energy Ltd, a subsidiary of Centrica plc, the project owner2. The 20-turbine 26MW project near Huntly is Aberdeenshire’s first wind farm and will supply electricity equivalent to the annual needs of over 13,000 homes.
