The Role

The Senior Process Engineer is part of a new engineering team being recruited to expand the RES Heat and Power capability for the delivery of power generation schemes, industrial steam plant and CHP projects, fuelled by biomass. The primary team role is to position RES Heat and Power as an intelligent purchaser of outsourced detail engineering, procurement and construction services.

Your main responsibilities will include:

To be the lead design authority on power plant steam cycle and associated equipment process design.

• Technical support for project construction, plant installation and plant pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Technical support to RES operational teams
• Management of plant and equipment design safety reviews and HAZOP studies.
• Generation of process design requirements for equipment and design package specifications.

The Candidate

The Ideal Candidate will have Degree or equivalent in Chemical/Process Engineering and have demonstrable experience in process design and specification of large scale combustion plant, steam plant and associated systems. Direct experience of completing process cycle calculations, using a recognised flow-sheeting CAE package (such as ASPEN HYSIS) is also advantageous. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be prepared to travel within the UK and, if necessary, overseas and hold a UK driving license
