The Role

The Senior Project Controls Engineer is part of a new engineering team being recruited to expand the RES Heat and Power capability for the delivery of power generation schemes, industrial steam plant and CHP projects, fuelled by biomass. The primary team role is to position RES Heat and Power as an intelligent purchaser of outsourced detail engineering, procurement and construction services.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Manage the development of project cost estimates for proposals.
• Maintain cost reporting systems throughout project lifecycle, manage monthly forecast to complete reviews.
• Manage project programme review and updating process.
• Provide analysis reports on variances against budget for both costs and programme.

The Candidate

Candidates should have a proven background as a Project Controls Engineer, or ideally hold a qualification in quantity surveying. Ideally you will have had exposure of managing project controls delivery on multi million pound projects and be an expert user of MS Project. Due to the nature of the work you will be prepared to travel within the UK and, if necessary, overseas and hold a UK driving license.
