We have four sustainability principles: Business, Reputation, Environment and Social. Embedding these principles into the way we do business helps us power positive change.
Business: Positioning the company for continued growth by combining long-term thinking with exceptional short-term performance.
Reputation: Being a thought-leader and trusted partner, leaving a lasting and positive legacy for our stakeholders.
Environment: Managing our activities and their impacts to maximize the environmental benefits we can create through our projects.
Social: Providing a safe and stimulating work environment, and working with our stakeholders to provide mutual benefits.
RES is well positioned to help lead global markets towards a clean energy future, with the in-house expertise to develop, engineer, construct, and operate renewable energy projects. Offering our services across five technologies allows us to solve an array of energy issues in a responsible and sustainable way, while providing opportunities for continued growth.

RES entered the energy storage market in 2010, developing solutions that provide multiple grid services for utilities, independent power producers, and regional transmission organizations. We have since blossomed into an industry leader, and were ranked one of the top three energy storage system integrators in a Leaderboard Report, released by Navigant Research, in May 2015.
We are currently building five renewable energy power plants in France - four wind farms and a ground-mounted solar PV plant with an installed capacity of 152 MW. This is helping consolidate our place as a major player in the renewable sector in France.
RES is at the forefront of efforts to move towards sustainable energy policies that will support continued investment in renewables, economic development and job creation. Our staff are involved with renewable energy trade associations across the globe, such as EWEA, AWEA, CanWEA, RenewableUK, France Energie Eolienne, Swedish Wind Energy, NORWEA, FWPA, BWE and Türeb.
Being a thought-leader and trusted partner, leaving a lasting and positive legacy for all.

At the 2015 CanWEA Conference in Toronto, Peter Clibbon, Senior VP Development at RES, was presented with the Individual Leadership Award, recognizing the significant contribution his work has made towards the advancement of wind energy in Canada over the past 15 years. He leads a multi-disciplinary team that supports our efforts to ‘power positive change’ every day.
Nordisk Vindkraft (NV), RES’ operation in the Nordics, welcomed the Land and Environment Court members in Östersund at a field trip to our Havsnäs wind farm. The visit was initiated by the Court themselves, as they wanted to study how a wind farm works and what it looks like. Choosing Havsnäs and NV for their first field trip in many years is proof of our strong reputation as a trustworthy and highly skilled company.
Climate change poses one of the biggest threats to our society, and to future generations. RES' products and services provide a unique opportunity to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We are also conscious of our environmental impact across all our operations – from our offices to our construction sites. With this in mind, we implement recycling, green travel, and energy-saving initiatives at every level of the company and undertake comprehensive environmental studies for all our projects.

This wind farm in Huntingdonshire is implementing a number of ecological enhancements including more than a hectare of new grassland, seeded with a mix of native wildflowers common before modern farming methods to encourage pollinating insects and provide a hunting area for barn owls. This is in line with the Local Biodiversity Action Plan. RES is also planting native hedgerows and introducing low woodland to encourage bats to roost and birds such as yellowhammer and song thrush to nest, and to provide cover for brown hare.
Wooden cable reels are difficult to recycle, and have been routinely sent to landfill in the past. Our construction sites are changing this by working with local individuals and organizations to reuse and recycle wooden reels. This benefits the community and environment, while reducing our landfill disposal costs. At the Tucannon River Wind Project, a local farmer is transforming 44 wooden reels and 680 wooden reel ends into fencing, corral dividers, and dog houses – over 30 tons of wood saved from landfill.
