Reliability Engineers are focused on delivering solutions that enable generating plant to maximize revenue and profit for the client and RES. This involves analysing operational data and providing recommendations to the plant manager to minimise lost production and maximize generation. Identifying performance improvement opportunities, abnormal behaviour and non-compliance in a timely and cost-effective manner are additionally a key part of the role.
The team of Reliability Engineers work as part of the External Services business unit in close cooperation with the asset management, site and operational teams. They provide expertise and knowledge to assist with effective operation and maintenance of operational plant, working closely with O&M providers, condition monitoring, internal support teams and asset owners.
The role may require working at height and a willingness to travel within UK and Europe. Key Accountabilities Provide technical and engineering support to operational wind farm management teams
Create, manage and improve engineering models to analyse operational data in order to accurately report on performance and detect changes in behaviour of the operating assets
Diagnose and propose solutions for performance issues with the generating plant
Participate in major component failure investigations
Liaise with in-house and external consultants and suppliers
Record value-add to RES and the client from the delivery of the service to inform on investment decisions, demonstrate value, retain focus on the most appropriate methods, continually improve accuracy, focus on up scaling and drive down cost
Work closely with internal project teams to ensure the correct configuration of plant before entering operation.
