"While studying the Renewable Energy MSc at CREST I applied to
the Internship Programme. My application was successful and I spent
three months at RES's head office in Kings Langley researching a
project on performance validation of onshore wind farms. This
gave me the opportunity to complete my MSc thesis while at the same
time gaining invaluable experience in industry. On completing my
project I secured a full time job at RES working as a business
development manager for building integrated renewables."
"After several years spent developing computer games I wanted to
move into an industry that had greater social value and
environmental awareness but still used my technical skills. I
studied the Renewable Energy MSc at CREST part time and then came
to RES to do my MSc project in Operations and Maintenance for
offshore wind farms. Doing the project enabled me to meet a
lot of great people at RES and convinced me that I would like a
permanent job here. In less than a year at RES I have gained
a lot of new skills by being involved in technical analysis for a
number of onshore and offshore wind farms including early work on
Round 3 of UK offshore wind farms working with multi GW wind farms.
I have also used my existing skills in software development to work
on RES's range of in-house software tools."
