RES employs an exciting and vibrant team of scientists,
engineers, environmentalists and business people committed to
identifying ways for wind energy to make a valuable contribution to
sustainability and energy supply within a commercial
framework. We are seeking a candidate with a desire to solve
problems and strong numerical skills to join our team as an intern
in the Technical Group based in Glasgow.
The RES Technical Group handles all technical aspects of wind
farm development including instrumentation, wind data analysis,
modelling of wind flow and wakes and many others. In
addition, constraints to turbine placements are studied such as
proximity to dwellings and roads, electromagnetic interference and
noise. Finally, in-house software is developed within the
Technical group which supports all areas of the business.
Candidates should be studying / have studied a degree in a
technical discipline such as Physics, Mathematics, Acoustics,
Engineering, Computer Science, Geoscience or similar.
